Residential Design/Re-Build

Homeowners are now choosing to remodel and enhance their existing homes rather than pay the very high prices commanded by new home construction in our area, or relocate a great distance away to find more affordable new homes.

In response, Nexum Development Corp. has launched its new Design/Re-Build division, with the goal of providing well designed, high quality additions, renovations, or expansions of existing homes that achieve the look and feel of "new" construction.

Nexum's in-house architectural design services enable it to accomplish either of two goals for the homeowner;

• Designing a seamless renovation or addition, with the goal of a finished product so carefully blended to the original design that it looks like it was the original construction.
• A transformation of the existing structure to the design, look and feel of a new home, but at the same address.

The key to achieving these goals is Nexum's ability to both design and construct. In the remodel/renovation process, it's essential that the builder be capable of responding to both the esthetic and structural constraints of the existing home while remaining true to the design intent and goals of the project.  This capability is much more important in renovation than in new construction due to the complexities of blending the old and new and, in Nexum's case, results from the company's unique blend of architectural and construction expertise.
